SAME HISTORY

The Society of American Military Engineers is the only nonprofit professional engineering education organization that actively promotes the advancement of both individual technical knowledge and the collective engineering capabilities of governments, the uniformed services and private industry.

Our goal is to unite public and private sector entities and individuals in the A/E/C fields so that we can prepare for and overcome natural and man made disasters, acts of terrorism and improve security at home and abroad.

SAME Piscataqua Post

The Piscataqua Post of SAME represents Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont. Our members meet once a month. Our meetings are typically held at restaurants between Portsmouth, NH and Portland, ME and are sponsored by member firms who present on topics of relevance. These meetings are a great place to meet representatives from local engineering and construction firms engaged in government contracting in support of military missions.

The Piscataqua Post also provides funding for local qualified students to attend military engineering and construction camps, provides scholarships for engineering students at the University of New Hampshire and the University of Maine, and supports military focused benevolent activities in the region and across the country.
