The Society of American Military Engineers (SAME) was founded in 1920 to engage military and federal government engineers with those in private industry.  Today, SAME brings together professional engineers and those in engineering related fields; To improve and increase the engineering capabilities of the nation; To exchange and advance the knowledge of engineering technologies and practices.  SAME is a nonprofit professional engineer association headquartered in Alexandria, Virginia with chapters worldwide.

The Panama City Post accomplishes this goal locally by supporting monthly luncheon meetings and other professional/social activities attended by members of local government, military, private industry, students and other interested parties. These meetings are announced via our e-mail distribution list, Facebook Event Notifications, and this website. We post a quarterly newsletter showcasing what the post has accomplished and providing information on upcoming events as well.  The Post plays a major role in Bay County, Florida, promoting Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) through support to the Florida First LEGO League, MATHCOUNTS, and scholarships for students interested in an engineering or architecture program.  Please peruse our website to discover the benefits of SAME Panama City Post membership.
