Young Professionals:

The mission of the SAME Young Professionals Community of Interest (YP COI) is to be an advocate for and engage young member support for SAME’s Strategic Plan through outreach, training, networking and recognition. The charter detailing how the COI is organize can be found here.

The SAME Savannah Post features 600+ members of which approximately 15% are Young Professionals at any given time. SAME Young Professionals (YP) are defined as, active members of the society 39 years of age and younger. The Savannah Post's Young Professional Committee was created to support young professionals at the post level.  Our mission is to provide guidance and professional development resources to YPs, increase YP participation in Society events at the national and local levels, and enhance the professional network of our YPs.  We strive to promote strong and lasting mentoring bonds between our Fellows and YPs through special events targeted to YPs. The SAME Savannah Post’s Young Professionals engage in a variety of ways but always with the same model of SERVE LEARN MEET.

Past activities have ranged from social activities to deep dive evening events with USACE/NAVFAC leadership to our annual Operation Homefront Holiday Meals day of service. Check out some of our past YP events here
