Student Chapters
The mission of SAME as a whole is:
“To promote and facilitate engineering support for national security by developing and enhancing relationships and competencies among uniformed services, public and private sector engineers, and related professionals.”
As a student chapter of the Scott Field post, our mission is to connect the students of Southern Illinois University Edwardsville's School of Engineering to the Post. By doing this we allow the students of SIUE an unique opportunity to meet and interact with a variety of business and military leaders within the Scott Field Post. As an organization we also strive to bring the benefits of SIUE's engineering students and their ability to think critically to help better the Post and the organizations involved with its operations. Through strong ties and interactions such as guest speakers and leadership conferences, both SIUE and the Scott Field Post are able to benefit each other greatly in helping move the community we all share to new heights.
