Scott Turygan is an exemplary leader in the SAME Rhein-Main Post. The Rhein-Main Post was declining in 2018 and several post officers left with no succession plan. Scott worked with Charysse Knotts to see if they could not only save the post but revive it. Scott took over as treasurer and assisted with post operations, programs, membership, and publicity. Scott attended the PLW in 2019 and was asked by National to present the Rhein-Main Post Revival Story in one of the tracks. He has given presentations for the Rhein-Main and Kaiserslautern Posts. Scott has recruited other presenters and encouraged other Young Professionals within his organization at USAREUR-AF to join SAME. Scott is a Young Professional and part of the LDP Class of 2020. He is actively engaged in all post operations and an enthusiastic member of the International COI. Scott is also the Rhein-Main Post Centennial Coordinator. He represented the Post at two events in 2020 (limited due to COVID). He organized a speaker on the historical aspects of the US and Germany over the last 100 years. Scott assisted with recruiting post board officers in 2019 and 2020. Since 2020, the post has all board positions filled.
