SAME is a strong supporter of small businesses and the Pikes Peak Post is pleased to continue our engagement by offering small business stipends to attend the May JETC event in Aurora, CO next month. We are accepting a limited number of stipend requests. If approved for a stipend, you just have to demonstrate proof of attendance and SAME will send you a check to offset the cost of attendance, up to amount of the stipend rewarded. Stipend amounts vary but will cover a substantial portion of the cost to attend the conference. Our Pikes Peak Post will be offering the following stipends:

 (2) Small Business $300 Stipends
 (2) Young Professional $300 stipends
 (1) Academia/Non-Profit $300 Stipend
 (4) Uniformed Service/Govt $145 stipend

Please email your interest to Jason Wood and Sarah Hodge and include your goals for attending JETC. If you have already registered, the Post will reimburse you for the stipend amount.

It's always exciting when the people in your life complete accomplishments and achieve success. Today we want to share our excitement for several post members who achieved this goal in 2021. Each of these awards signify each individuals outstanding accomplishments, and can be recognized as another step in their career journey. Their ability to relentlessly search for solutions to problems and find innovative ways to improve the SAME Pikes Peak Post has not gone unnoticed, and we greatly appreciate their contribution to the team. We extend a sincere congratulations to you all!

2021 Annual Survivor Outreach Program - Angel Tree
Thank you to SAME Pikes Peak Post Secretary, Amy Umiamaka, and HB&A for their outstanding hard work and huge success (once again) for supporting Fort Carson's Annual Survivor Outreach Program - Angel Tree Event. Overall, 113 kids (113 gifts) were provided to the Ft. Carson Annual Survivor Outreach Program Angel Tree Event on December 3rd. The Pikes Peak Post donated $520, in addition to the shopping and wrapping of gifts once the money was donated. The Denver Metro Post donated $500, as well as adopted and provided gifts for 20 kids. Lastly, a huge thank you to Merrick, Galloway, Pinyon Environmental, and HB&A who also donated and provided gifts for the 2021 event. Our team is honored to continue serving the lives of deserving children and families in December each year.

Congratulations, Russ Cirillo!
