SAME and the Philadelphia Post are dedicated to the health and safety of all its members and event participants. In response to emerging public health concerns posed by the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), we are closely monitoring updates from local and national public health authorities regarding the situation.

We ask all those who attend SAME events, whether at local Posts or nationally, to take the following basic steps to help prevent the spread of any illness:

1. Wash your hands frequently with soap and water for 20 seconds; 
2. Use hand sanitizer [hand sanitizers will be placed around conference locations]; 
3. Cover your mouth and nose with a tissue when coughing or sneezing; and 
4. Avoid close contact with those who are sick or appear to have symptoms of a respiratory illness.
