SAME’s Saddleback College Veterans 5k Run on June 18, 2017
Below are a couple photos from the Saddleback Student Chapter’s participation in GeekaPalooza. The student chapter was invited to attend based on a connection that Jeremy Laster made with Judy Warner (Director of BD at Zentech Manufacturing) enroute to the SAME Student Leaders Workshop in North Carolina. They were able to send several students to the event, which provided them a great opportunity to network with professionals from the electronic industry and line up several good speakers for their monthly meetings, as well as promote SAME. The flag hanging in the background is one that Jeremy brought back while serving in Afghanistan.

On February 19, 2015 Col Tom Nichols (USACE retired) spoke to Saddleback Students about the comparison between government and private sector engineering careers. This talk launched the 2015 Monthly Speaker’s Program at Saddleback College in which industry professionals share their knowledge and experience with the future generation of engineers.
