MEMBERSHIP in the Society is open to persons and organizations with an interest in military engineering,a desire to increase the engineering potential of the United States for national security and to further the objectives of SAME.  Each membership offers you one or more Post's affiliations, please include us as one of them.

 
SAME has a variety of membership designed to suit individuals and organizations.  These are listed below with links to SAME headquarters where online or printable applications are available.

Individual Membership offer professionals in the A/E/C field the opportunity to develop important business contacts through national, regional and Northern Virginia Post events.  Membership dues are set to your situation:

  • Uniformed Services--active, guard, reserve and civilians employed by a uniformed service
  • Public and Private Sectors--individuals not employed by DOD, USCG or USPHS, including Young Members
  • Student Member
  • Retired Member
  •  
    Sustaining Memberships offer your private sector company the opportunity to network with industry leaders in the public sector and uniformed services.  A company or single office/branch may designate five individuals as SAME representatives.  Membership dues vary according to firm size.

    Public Agency Memberships offer any federal, state, or local public agency with an interest in the goals and objectives of SAME to join.

    Non-Profit Organization Membershipsmay join SAME, or may join SAME as a Strategic Partner.

    Academic Memberships offer academic institutions mentoring opportunities working with tomorrow's engineers.
